A Nice Long Visit in SA

On Sunday we went to Salt Life for dinner. This is one of David's favorite places because he loves their NE Clam Cowder. I had the tacos, and they were good too.

Najla was trying to hide from the camera, but I got her anyway.

On Monay The Meyers were busy with work and Emma had soccer after school. Ryan texted and said Emma wanted to show me the clothes she made for her doll and wanted to help her sew some things. He asked if we could pick up Emma after karate on Tuesday and take her home. Ryan and Trevor would be home about 7:15 after his soccer.

When we got to their house Emma showed me all the cute outfits she made out of balloons. Super cute. I wish I had thought to take pictures. I had brought her a box of lots of different type fabrics, ribbons and items to play around with to make doll clothes. She had a sewing machine that Mary Ann had in her closet so we took that out to thread it. I just didn't work, so David went over to the motorhome and took out the sewing machine I keep there along with my little sewing box. I gave Emma some of my spools of thread and set up the sewing machine for her. We drew up a pattern for a skirt for her Wellie Wisher doll and Emma sewed it. Then she made a little organza over skirt for it. I should have taken pictures.

I'm so happy that Emma wants to sew. I gave her the machine and hopefully we can spend some time together in the future making things.

We left on Wednesday for home stopping at Buc-cees in SA for a brisket and egg taco. There was plenty of room to park at this one.

We spent the night in Cordele, Ga and arrived home without any issues for a change. The traffic coming into Atlanta and Chattanooga was awful, but we made it. It was really a fun trip top SA.
