Oh, Give Me a Home Where the Buffalo Roam

Greg--who's poop is this?

This is for Ryan---who's poop is this?

Paint pots

Old Faithful

Bee Hive geyser. This one only erupts once a day and is louder and higher than Old Faithful.

Mammoth Hot Springs

Geysers everywhere.

I know you think we only had 3 kitties, but we really have 4. Little Jonathan keeps to himself and he doesn't photograph well since he is all black. He usually looks like he has no face. But he is such a sweet kitty. He never gets in trouble.

Another day in Yellowstone

A herd of buffalo/bison.

Just having a snack by the visitor's center.

A herd of buffalo Mama's with their babies.--"Are you my Mama?"

Bentley and Nicholas have a walk in the park.

Finnegan taking a walk. He thinks he's a mountain lion.

Scenes of Yellowstone

Beautiful waterfalls.

Driving in the upper elevations.

Yellowstone Lake--it still has a thin layer of ice.

Howdy From Yellowstone

This bear was injured to his head and eye. The park rangers are hoping he will recover on his own.
Mule deer.

An eagles nest--an this one is occupied.

Buford the buffalo, just strolling down the road in Yellowstone.

Our KOA campsite.

We arrived in west Yellowstone on Wednesday and are staying in a very nice KOA campground about 6 miles from the park. The snow capped mountain views are great and the weather is chiily in the morning. We awoke to 22 degrees. Thank goodness we have a good heater and a quilt on the bed. The temperature reaches the 60's and 70's during the day, so it is perfect for sightseeing.

Since we have taken over 500 pictures each I am going to try to just post a few.

The Tetons

Photos cannot do these mountains justice. They are unbelievably beautiful. We are sorry to be leaving them.

Rollin on the River

David "Rollin on the river"

Uma Thurman's house. She has a great view of the Tetons.

The last of the Shoshone ---ha ha.

This is the edge of Harrison Ford's property. He lives here full time and owns 800 acres that he bought 30 years ago. He house sits very far back from the river, although some have seen him on the bank fishing. Unfortunately not us.

Eagles nest.

The Snake River

View of the Tetons from our raft.

This morning we took a 2 hr river trip down the Snake River. It was very chilly (53) and windy. They drove us down to the river gave us a life preserver and helped us in to this big blue raft. The river was very muddy due to the snow run off. The river was also very swift. We saw eagles, white pelicans, and a beaver lodge. What fun !!!
