We arrived safely in Anchoarge after a very long flight from Atlanta. By the time we arrived and settled into our hotel room Thusday night, it was 11:PM (our body time). It was on 7PM here and still the shank of the evening.
Our home in Anchorage--at least for a few days.
We had a great adventure today. We were surrounded by many wild animals. Here are some of the pictures we took. There were so many animals, it was difficult to really capture it all. Wednesday we are headed to Mitchell, S. Dakota as a one night stop over.
These white wolves were beautiful. In one area, 3 of them were rolling and playing in the grass, just like 3 kids.
Our car was surrounded by about 200 black bears in this area. We couldn't take pictures fast enough.

One of the bobcats is giving the other a tongue bath. Just like Jonathan giving Finnegan a spikey- doo on the top of his head.
These baby bears are all about 4 months old since baby bears are born in Jan. They were all having the greatest time playing, rolling and frolicking with each other. We could have watched them all day. There must have been 2 dozen baby bears all playing together.

It was a great trail ride---but help!!!! How do I get off this thing? Max the horse, that is.
Statue of FDR. In visiting downtown Rapid City we came across these life like statues of the past Presidents. They are standing on corner through out down town. It was so much fun to drive around and try and determine which one was which president. Some were very obvious.

This is the Crazy Horse Memorial at a distance. As you can see not much has been done on it to date.
Bentley is really having a great time looking out the window. There are just so many new things for him to see.

We went on a great hike at Mt Rushmore. The woods were beautiful and we certainly needed the exercise.

We have traveled through so many different Indian Reservations. The Crow and Cheyenne are near Little Big Horn.
This was the part of the memorial to all the Indians killed at Little Big Horn.
The battlefield. This was such an educational and interesting stop on our way to Sheridan, Wyoming. It was too bad we didn't have more time to spend listening to all the historical information.
This is where general George Armstrong Custer died. He was actually buried at West Point.

Finnegan has become a good little RVer. He hasn't needed his ACE since our second day of travel.
Bentley and Jonathan are great travelers. Here they are dozing as we ride along.
The Montana country side was beautiful. One side of the state looked very different from the other and we literally went from one side to the other. The campground we stayed at in Great Falls had live cowboy entertainment. We could hear the music from our site while we sat outside and cooked hamburgers on the grill with the kitties.
This is a coffee shop. With this shape a drive up window would be a little difficult.
