A Visit to Telluride

We had a nice morning and a trip to Home Depot for some repair items. Finnegan was responsible for holding down the fort while we were out and he's doing a fine job too.

After that it was time for lunch and we decided to try the Horsefly Brew Pub and Restaurant. It was too early for David to have a beer, but we did have a great fish (Haddock) and chip lunch.

After lunch we drove over to Telluride which was about 65 miles away. It took us through some beautiful scenery and to a very nice little town. I can see why so many celebrities flock to Telluride.

The town was like a picture post card with the San Juan Mountain range looking over the town.

By the time we arrived back in Montrose it was time for dinner. We decided to try the Colorado Boy Pizzeria and Brewery. The pizza was fantastic and David said the IPA was great too, so much that he bought a Cowboy Can of it.

On the way home we stopped at City Market to pick up a few groceries. On one of the aisles they had fishing rods and equipment for sale. Now that a State that is serious about fishing.
Back to the MH to let the kitties go out in their play pen to enjoy the fresh mountain breezes for a while.

  1. That's a beautiful place. I love the pictures. It makes me want to go there - and the food pictures are too much. I'm always hungry after I read your blog.

  3. Ha Ha, I guess you can tell what our focus is--FOOD. Telluride was beautiful and some of the people a bit strange. Many wearing old floppy hats, vests and looking rugged and western-like. I'm sure they were all quite wealthy and they thought we were the odd balls.
