Day 8 Unevenful

Uneventful is the only way to describe Day 8. We left VB and drove around Washington, DC and around Baltimore to get to Intercourse, PA. Even though we tried to bypass the traffic, it just didn't work and didn't arrive until a little after 6PM.

The campground we are staying in is Beacon Hill, less than a mile to downtown Intercourse, It is our favorite campground in the area. Rennie and her husband run the CG and they are always friendly and have lots of info to hand out about the area. In August they have ice cream socials with Lapps ice cream which is like no other ice cream you have ever had from the local Lapps dairy. Since we missed August here Rennie told us we can just go over to the Lapps farm and get some ice cream and if we go at milking time (4:30) you can eat your ice cream while you are watching them milk the cows.

Speaking of cows, we are right across the street from the farm and the cows were mooing most of the time. On the other side is the street with the Amish buggies going up and down all the time. Poor Finnegan is hiding under the car seat until he has it figured out.

I must say we have the best campsite in the campground #46, which in in the big open green grassy area, It is huge and a very good spot. We are here until Sunday morning so the kitties will be able to go out in their playpen and enjoy.

This is our favorite place to stop when we travel. The whole area is loaded with qui1t shops, both those with fabric and those with hand made finished quilts. Shady Maple will be on our list of places to shop for groceries as soon as we get our rental car. I hope 3 days here will be enough time. It never seems like long enough when we have to leave.

No chance to take pictures, but I'll have some for tomorrow.
