Day 10 Continued

Inside The Hogan was 90 Year old Granny Suzanne. She gave us a demo on spinning the yarn for the rugs that she weaves. What a hard life---but I'll bet I'd enjoy the spinning and weaving if I could ever learn to do it. This is Robert giving us the history and info on the Navajo culture.
This is the Male Hogan which is built pointed rather than rounded as the Female Hogan. There are very few of these remaining today.
The wood beams are so beautiful.
 We saw several beautiful arches.
Notice the white flower blooming to the left. Most of the plants here are tumble weeds.
The is a picture of some of the petroglyphs we saw.
To the left is the Totem Pole and I can't remember the ones on the Right---something like Dancing Girls.

The Cube.

We leave tomorrow for Moab, UT.
