Day 10 Monument Valley, UT

We had a wonderful day touring the area today. Look what we woke up to this morning. It was just so beautiful that we sat outside and had our coffee while we looked at the spectacular view.

This is our tour "bus". It could go through anything--mud puddles, sand dunes--you name it.
We took hundreds of pictures and wish we could post them all. It was very hard to decided which ones to post. The pictures are good, but the real thing is just unbelievable as far as beauty. All of the Navajo here are very nice and did a terrific job showing us around. Robert was our very informative tour guide.

This one is the 3 Sisters.

This is John Ford's Point. Robert told us that when they were filming Stagecoach here that he would take his director's chair and sit out here each morning. How relaxing.

This is a Hogan which is female house representing Mother Earth. It is where the women raise the family. Now it is used more for ceremonial events. It looks small from the outside, but is actually quite roomy.
They use Juniper trees to form the shape with no nails and with the mud on the outside it is very well insulated.
