The bunches of flowers were simply gorgeous. One bunch was $5.00 for a smaller one and the more expensive $15. The flowers were so beautiful and every color you can imagine.
Fruits and vegetables were the same. We heard this area grows terrific blueberries, peaches, raspberries, strawberries, apples and cherries. Each vendor had fresh fruits and vegetables bigger and more luscious than the previous.
And the seafood. Wow!!! The size of everything was huge. The large shrimp, the King Salmon, everything.
Look at the size of those lobster tails.
And we couldn't come to PPM without buying a fish. We purchase 2 King Salmon and the "fish boys" did their routine by tossing them to the person behind the counter for shipping back home. We'll be eating salmon for the next 10 years. It's a good think we like it. They will ship it to Glynda and she will put it in the freezer. Thank you Glynda!!!!!!
We also saw the Original STARBUCKS. There's a Starbucks on every corner here, but this is the very first.Wow would have gone in, but the line was quite long. There was a Russian Folk band playing out front because the store next door was selling Piroshkies, They looked great, but we had our hearts set on a bowl of clam chowder.
This ferris wheel is a new addition since my last visit to Seattle probably 25 yrs ago.
My cousin Becky has 3 beautiful children, Gray Elise and Emily. They are all adults now of course. The youngest, Emily and her husband Ryan happen to live here in Seattle. I hadn't seen them for several years and David had never met them. We were fortunate enough to be able to get together with them for dinner. They are the nicest couple you could ever meet. We had a great time chatting with them and seeing them. We probably talked their ears off the whole night and they were happy to get a break from us by the end of the night.
Emily and Ryan are expecting their first baby in Feb and we are so happy for them. Aren't they a great looking couple? All those good looks and nice too!
Thanks for the great time.
Awww. You're too sweet. They had a great time too. Jak's looks more glamourous at night than when we had lunch there. I'd love to spend more time at Pike's. I'm sure we didn't see half of it, but I do remember watching them make the piroshki's. I think we had some pastry near there, maybe from the same shop. I liked watching them made the cheese! Ya'll are really having an interesting and fun trip.
